March 2006: Standard Chartered Bank Choose Activity Tracker for Managing Lawyers Time and Billings
Leading Information Management specialist ImageFast Ltd
has today reported that Standard Chartered Bank have agreed to use their
Activity Tracker software, a highly intuitive time and activity recording system
designed to help lawyers, accountants and consultants log time as they work to
help with accurate tracking of client time and billing.
Activity Tracker allows employees or consultants to record time and activity in
a matter of seconds, and easily switch from one client to another by using a
simple pop-up window accessed from their computer’s desktop toolbar.
Alternatively, the product can be configured to work with barcode technology
which gives the user the control to allocate activity to a client with one swipe
of a handheld scanner. Barcodes detailing a client or project can be printed
from any standard printer and attached to client files, with this technology
also providing the option for employees to carry handheld scanners away from the
office to ensure every second of billable time is recorded. When the fee earner
returns to the office, the scanner is placed into its cradle – or connected via
an infrared link – and information is automatically uploaded to Activity
Tracker.
Riccardo Emanuele, Managing Director at ImageFast, explained: “We deal with many
companies both large and small, and managers or senior partners at many of them
are frustrated with the amount of time spent by their employees on calculating
client billings. Activity Tracker is designed to make that process much less
complicated. Senior management retain the ability to have overall control and we
have ensured that the flexibility of the product makes it suitable for
organisations in many sectors, enabling them to tailor it to meet their
requirements. The solution will enable Standard Chartered Bank to streamline
their time reporting activities helping to reduce the time spent by individual’s
recording their time spent on tasks and allowing quicker management reporting”
Standard Chartered Bank intend to use the software for their Wholesale banking
legal group, the system will initially be used in the UK with plans to roll it
out across all worldwide centres in early 2007.
