August 2005: ImageFast Help Lincolnshire County Council Reduce Processing Times for School Admissions
CASE STUDY – Lincolnshire County Council
Lincolnshire County Council, which co-ordinates the admissions process for more
than 350 Primary and Secondary schools, decided that the best way to ensure an
accurate and timely procedure was to automate it as much as possible.
In August 2005, the council asked ImageFast to implement a solution
allowing them to produce a customised admissions form, scan it once completed,
and validate the form to reduce errors.
Barry Tointon, Pupil Services Manager at Lincolnshire County Council, explained:
“The use of ImageFast scanning has transformed our admissions process.
Data input is now much faster, more accurate and user-friendly. We are also
using the facility for other purposes (eg. currently for capturing responses to
consultations) with similar benefits in terms of efficiency.”
The transformation witnessed in Lincolnshire is now available to all authorities
in the UK thanks to Automated Admissions.
