Email Communication Strategies
Electronic communications have revolutionised business
communications, although the huge increase in use has taken some organisations
by surprise. It is commonplace now for people at work to use e-mail as easily as
using the telephone, and Internet access is often part of the setup of a
workstation. Many people now routinely use e-mail and the Internet for personal
communication and interest as well as in the workplace.
Electronic communications offer unique benefits and challenges to all
organisations and therefore it is essential that a suitable policy is written,
to inform how your organisation will manage and audit the use of electronic
communications to satisfy your employees, suppliers, customer and legal
requirements.
Setting out rights, responsibilities and limitations on the use of
organisational equipment will help the organisation prevent any unauthorised or
careless use which might result in itself or its workforce creating a legal
risk. Such a policy should also make transparent any monitoring or interception
that might be lawfully undertaken and the reasons for such monitoring.
ImageFast have been helping organisations both large and small define their
email communication strategy. Our experience allows us to define a strategy that
will ensure that the policies put in place will not affect the aim of the
organisation whilst ensuring that all legal requirements are adhered to.
